Attention MD Ratepayers:
The MD will be unable to provide financial services such as receiving payments, tax certificates, accounts inquiries, etc… from September 10 – 11, 2026 as we migrate to a new financial management system.
As a result of the migration, the MD Office Building will be closed on September 14 and 15, 2026, to facilitate its implementation. During this time, staff will be unable to respond to in-person inquiries or process transactions. However, our phone lines will remain open, and a staff member will be available to provide assistance.
Please note that Public Works and Agricultural Services Board (ASB) operations will continue as normal during this period. For assistance, please contact Larry Doucette, Director of Operations, at 780-837-0042 or Shayne Steffen, Director of Agricultural Services, at 780-837-0043.
If you wish to make a payment, a secure drop box is available at the rear of the office building. Payments may also be submitted by e-transfer to admin@mdsmokyriver.com (Please put customer number in message) or through your financial institution’s online bill payment service (excluding RBC).
As we transition to the new system, some support requests and services may take a little longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding as staff become familiar with the new processes.
Regular in-person services will resume on September 16, 2026.
