The MD of Smoky River assists the Province in the monitoring of crop pest species. The traps in the MD of Smoky River continue to show “Low risk” for Bertha Armyworm. However, the Peace River region has seen increased numbers around the Eaglesham and Berwyn areas putting some areas in the “Medium Risk” category.
