Hunter/Trapper Registry

The M.D. of Smoky River is creating a “Hunter/Trapper Registry” to take effect for the year 2021.

Persons interested in hunting or trapping wolves, wild boar or beaver for private individuals should register with the M.D.

In addition, persons who may be interested in working for the M.D. for beaver control, either trapping, hunting or blasting (if so licensed) are also asked to register their interest including their expected hourly wage and fees for vehicles, ATV or UTV and other anticipated costs.

The M.D. is not guaranteeing work for any individual, nor are we vetting persons or making claims regarding any person or company’s abilities or their adherence to laws or regulations.  The Registry is being offered as a service to help producers with wolf, wild boar or beaver issues to find a hunter/trapper willing to assist them.  For the M.D., we will hire persons on the list based on their rates, distance to the site and suitability of equipment.

The M.D. will no longer be offering a wolf incentive program effective January 1st, 2021, and the wild boar incentive program is no longer offered effective immediately.

Please submit a completed form to the M.D., and contact Normand Boulet, Agricultural Fieldman with any questions.
