113. M.D. FIRE TRUCK RATES

The following monetary rates shall apply to a person and/or persons when requiring the assistance of the Municipal District of Smoky River No. 130 Fire Department for rural fires/accidents:

1. $300.00 per hour/per unit for the first hour, minimum of one (1) hour plus $50.00 for the rescue unit
2. $200.00 per hour/per unit for the duration of the fire, including clean-up time.
3. other special costs incurred in fighting a fire:

• Example: Special chemicals, damaged hoses, special equipment brought in to fight the fire, etc., shall be charged to the person and/or persons requesting the services at replacement cost.

4. except of in the case that the Fire Department is responding to a fire/accident on any highway, the following rates shall apply and be charged to Alberta Transportation and Utilities and/or insurance companies:

• $300.00 per hour/per unit for the duration of the call including clean-up time, minimum 1 hour

• all other costs incurred as stipulated in c) above shall apply to this exception.

5. Any dangerous goods incident shall be charged as follows:

• $500.00 per hour/unit for the duration of the call including clean-up time.

• all other costs incurred as stipulated in c) above.

5. these rates may be appealed to Council.
