PLEASE NOTE:
- The Development Officer may, before an application
is considered complete, require the submission of the following:
- a building plan showing floor plans, elevations
and exterior finishing materials,
- a detailed site plan showing site dimensions
and the exact location and dimensions of all existing and proposed
developments, as well as vegetation,
- up-to-date air photographs of the site, at an
acceptable scale,
- information addressing the number of employees
expected (in the case of industrial or commercial developments), proposed
method of water and sewer servicing, rail or roadway access, construction
material, or off street parking requirements.
- other information relating to the proposed development
considered necessary for the proper evaluation of the application.
- A decision shall be made on an application for
a development permit within forty days of the receipt of the application
in its final form.
- Notwithstanding, the application shall, at the
option of the applicant, be deemed refused when a decision is not made
within forty days of the receipt of the application in its final form.
- A development permit automatically takes effect
fourteen days after the decision of approval, unless an appeal is lodged
with the Development Appeal Board, in which case the development permit
approval is suspended until the appeal has been determined.
- A development permit becomes void after twelve
months from the date of approval if the development has not commenced.
The Development Officer or Joint Municipal Planning Commission may approve
an extension, not to exceed three months.
