114. ROAD BANS IN M.D. NO. 130

Pursuant to the authority granted by the Council of the Municipal District of Smoky River No. 130, a "road weight committee" shall be appointed by Council from time to time.

The duties and obligations of the Committee are:

1. Define maximum allowable weights permitted on municipal roads: road bans.
1. All road restrictions shall be done by order of the committee as per attached Form C.
2. Notification of weight restrictions shall be given twenty-four (24) hours before implementation.
3. All farm tractors and implements are exempt from road bans, however, discretion must be used and damages incurred will be the responsibility of this individual.
4. Defining maximum allowable weight permitted on certain municipal bridges. All bridge restrictions shall be done by the order of the Committee as per attached Form D.
5. Special permits must be signed by one (1) member of the Committee and one (1) member from Management as per prescribed Form E.
6. Special permits shall be issued only on an emergency basis with each individual case judged on its own merits.
7. Emergency road repair shall be exempt from this policy.

Council has the final authority to rescind or amend any decisions made by the Road Weight Committee.

Council may delegate the authority to set and remove road bans as required.
